The New York Times announced Thursday its new executive editor. It’s the first time in history that the most important position of the newspaper is in the hands of a woman. Jill Abramson will replace Bill Keller, who spent eight years in the position and helped rebuild the company’s credibility after the scandal Jason Blair – for those who don’t remember, he was the reporter who shook the structures of the NYT after he was caught plagiarizing some stories and making up others.
