Antonia Maria Civita opened her apartment at Jardim Paulistano in the early afternoon of Wednesday, along with Ana and Mariana Auriemo. The hostess personally thanked guests such as Riccy Souza Aranha, Adriana Trussardi, Isabella Giobbi, Tatiana Monteiro de Barros, Kika Rivetti and Rosangela Lyra, all tenants of the Cidade Jardim Shopping Mall, for supporting Verdescola. The institute needs resources to build a new headquarters in Barra do Sahy, on the northern coast of São Paulo, which serves about 400 children. "Ten years ago I bought a house in Baleia Beach and saw how much waste dumping pollutes the Sahy river. Children were playing there because they had nowhere else to go – hence the idea of Verdescola," said Maria Antonia.
* With the arrival of Zeco Auriemo, Maria Antonia led everybody to the various tables set around the living room. In fact, it’s an elegant and discreet apartment. At the end of a presentation about the project, Maria Antonia took a Leica camera and began taking pictures of people, of the guests and of the buffet, led by Capim Santo’s Morena Leite.
* Then the host went from table to table, chatting and thanking. "Last week I went to Brasilia twice and once to Rio, knocking on people’s doors and asking for help. We have several workshops in sports, now all we need is a court," joked Maria Antonia, who wore a Ara Vartanian necklace, made especially for Verdescola. "Part of the sale will be donated to the institute," she said proudly.
