Leblon, in Rio, is in mourning! Garcia & Rodrigues, one of the most famous culinary institutions in the neighborhood, will close its doors later this month. In its place, there will be new Porcão Churrascaria. Both restaurants actually belong to Brasil Foodservice Group.
* The idea is to build a more elegant branch of the Churrascaria, with a new concept that would make this one different from the ones that already exist in the city – at Barra and at Aterro do Flamengo. However, BFG guarantees that it’s already looking for a home in Leblon for Garcia & Rodrigues, which should be reopened as soon as possible. Whew!
* In time, the South Part of Rio will get yet another Porcão, at Gavia, where El Turf used to be.
