Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, from Dolce & Gabbana, said on Thursday that they will open later this week, a store focused on new designers. The venture will be called Spiga2, because it is in Via della Spiga, number two in Milan. The duo have already picked a few names to debut in this project, like Behnaz Sarafpour, Sophie Theallet, Yigal Azrouël, Fannie Schiavoni, Erkan Coruh, Peter Jensen and Heather Williams.
* The two hope the store becomes a platform for the global market. "We created this store thinking about a new concept, a single space and some designers, chosen in order to give visibility and showcase the best of each," they said to "WWD."
