After coming to C&A’s party in her honor, Stella McCartney was escorted to an anteroom, where she received the press, including Glamurama. It was a relaxed conversation, with her praising the drinks. "I am enjoying the caipirinhas. They are so refreshing," she said, before finishing: "I would love to get these fruit in a bag. But I’ll get arrested if I do so."

* Holding a balloon from the party, she said that to her it makes no difference if she’s creating for her own brand or under contract. "I always create out of passion, either for me or others. Everything I do, I feel like it. So much so that while working for another brand, it was as if I was under my own label, as if that studio was my home," she said.

* Glamurama asked her opinion about haute couture, an art admired for her, but that isn’t really her style. "The only time I worked with this technique was when I was in school. I admire people who like and work with it, it is very beautiful and, for those who like it, it must be very exciting. I prefer simpler things, light fabrics and ready-to-one porter that works with everything. For me, fashion created in a studio and has current value, and investments and prices for each of the pieces show that everything is doing well, thanks. Should I change my mind and invest in something else? "

* Finally, running out of time, almost as if interrupting a conversation that could last hours, Stella, who visited her brand’s corner at NK Store, Natalie Klein, said she wants to open a store in Brazil. "I would love to open a store here. I think it’s possible but I also think it would be so complicated. It’s something I want to do, yes. Maybe one day, who knows?" With a smile and a "see you soon", we parted wishing she her to come back as soon as possible.

Stella McCartney: super friendly!
