Paulo Coelho sure knows something about luxury. So much so that Relais & Châteaux, the largest association of luxury destinations in the world, announced today that the writer is its new ambassador. The news comes together with the launch of the updated edition of Relais & Châteaux’s guide, which in addition to 45 new destinations, a record in the history of the association, has 518 establishments in 60 countries on five continents.
* "Travel reveals who we are on the inside. We learn about our thoughts, our ability to adapt and find a balance between our personality and this new environment. We are enriched by it, "says Paulo, who succeeds Richard Gere, who represented the association in 2011 and wine producer Carole Bouquet, who fulfilled that role in 2010.
