A painting by Roy Lichtenstein was sold at Christie’s on Wednesday in New York for – astonishingly – U $ 42.6 million. This is the highest ever achieved by a painting by Roy, who is from New York and gained the world of Pop Art with works inspired by comics.
* The painting is called Ohhh … Alright … and it has a woman on the phone. Ah, in that same auction, a piece from Andy Warhol was also sold, for the bargain of 23.9 million U.S..
