Fashion designer Alexander McQueen won’t be forgotten anytime soon. The proof is the exhibition that the Costume Institute, of Metropolitan Museum of Art, is preparing as a tribute to the designer. Called "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty", the exhibition will open its doors on May 4, 2011 and will have two decades of work. Parts will be from graduating classes from Central Saint Martins, who will be on display alongside the iconic creations of Alexander and also all the work done by him at Givenchy, where he became creative director.

* Among the works selected, unique pieces created especially for his friends Daphne Guinness and Isabella Blow will be exposed. A gala dinner at the Metropolitan Museum of Art will happen on the second day and is good to put it on your schedule, because the display will be on until July 31.
