What was supposed to be a tribute ended up being a huge pickle to the Portuguese “Playboy”. The magazine, that in honor to José Saramago mixed half naked girls with the image of Jesus Christ, didn’t imagine the big deal Playboy Enterprises – that has the label’s copyright – would make out of it. Now the agreement between the two of them could have gone down the drain.

* "We did not see or approve the cover and pictorial in the July issue of ‘Playboy Portugal’. It is a shocking breach of our standards, and we would not have allowed it to be published if we had seen it in advance. As a result of this and other issues with the Portuguese publisher, we are in the process of terminating our agreement", declared the vice president of public relations, Theresa Hennessy. For now, the Portuguese magazine says they don’t know anything officially about the situation. Any way, it doesn’t look good at all…
