This Saturday it took place the long awaited for red carpet for Prince William and Kate Middleton in Los Angeles. The party of BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts), of which William is president, brought together Nicole Kidman, J-Lo, Tom Hanks, Barbra Streisand, Blake Lively, Jack Black and many others. William and Kate got to know each one of them, chatted with Tom Hanks – who was recently at Buckingham Palace – and Jennifer Lopez, who was accompanied by her mother.
* The two sat next to Barbra Streisand at the head table. William, by the way, got into a lively conversation with Nicole Kidman, who also sat at their table and made sure to introduce herself. In his speech, William joked with Colin Firth about “The King’s Speech” and talked about the young British actors who were there. "Catherine and I were very excited for tonight, with this wonderful cast of both British and American actors. I believe many great things can come out of it. Now, as they say, ‘Lights, Camera, Action’," concluded William.
* Kate wore a lilac Alexander McQueen with sparkling belt and diamond earrings on loan from Queen Elizabeth II.
