The delegation of Globo TV showed up in force to the red carpet at the Emmys, the largest awards of international television, that’s happening on Monday in New York. And although Globo is competing in seven categories, the group is unanimous in their support for actor Fábio Assunção, who’s nominated for best miniseries actor for "Dalva and Herivelto." Stunning, the host of Fantástico, Patricia Poeta, who came with her husband, Amauri Soares, director of Globo Internacional, said she was there to give her "support to all colleagues, especially Fábio."
*The actor, of course, is in the audience with his wife, Karina Tavares. Modest, he said he had no expectations, but revealed to be wearing a lucky medallion that belonged to Herivelto Martins, radio singer he played in the miniseries alongside Adriana Esteves, as Dalva. "Honestly, I feel very glad to have participated in the project, which rescued a generation of great composers, and was a large gathering of artists. I’m rooting for all of us," said the actor, who is in the play "Adultério" in Sao Paulo, and in the air on TV with the series "Tapas e Beijos."
* Adriana Esteves came with her husband, Vladimir Brichta, who will present one of the categories and the series "Separação," also nominated for an Emmy. For the actress, all work in "Dalva and Herivelto" was an honor. "I’ve always said that this work motivated me to give my best.
