As Glamurama said in January, Anna Wintour was honored this week with the highest award granted by the French government to a citizen, the Légion d’Honneur. The title, created in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte, was delivered to the editor in chief of Vogue by President Nicolas Sarkozy at the Palais de l’Élysée in Paris. To receive the honor, Anna chose a suit of the latest autumn/winter Chanel collection.

* Among the fashionistas who insisted on honoring the editor were the all powerful Bernard Arnault, Donatella Versace, Alber Elbaz, Franca Sozzani, Riccardo Tisci, Stefano Pilati, Tommy Hilfiger and Karl Lagerfeld.
