On Monday, former Minister José Dirceu arrived half an hour late to the launch of his book, "Tempos de Planície," from Alameda Publishing House, on Monday, at Livraria Cultura do Conjunto Nacional. But the more than 50 people already waiting in line fore him didn’t seem to care. At the height of the event, the waiting period for an autograph on the work that gathers articles published by former Home Secretary in several newspapers across the country was of about an hour and a half.
* At the line, formed largely by PT party members from São Paulo, there was only one subject: the inner-party struggle for the municipal elections in the capital city, particularly between the Minister of Education, Fernando Haddad, and Senator Marta Suplicy. Even José Dirceu spoke on the subject, when asked by reporters: "I work with an agreement. There is no victory without Marta, we must be aware of that. Any solution passes through her within the party. Just visit the suburbs and see her popularity and strength, "he said.
* Although the line weren’t formed by senior officials of the government, as the launch in Brasilia, 15 days ago, in which six ministers stopped by to greet the author, there were many personalities of PT, historical leaders and activists. Clara Charf, widow of Carlos Marighella, former secretary of President Luiz Gushiken, the mayor of Osasco, stopped by, as well as Emidio de Souza, president of PT São Paulo, Edinho Silva and Paulo Okamoto, President of Instituto Lula, among others. The former president, moreover, didn’t make it. But Dirceu said: "I took the book personally to his house before coming here." Check out who dropped by at the photo gallery.
