Nelsinho Piquet is one of the highlights of PODER magazine this month, with a very cool article shot on Beat Club in Sao Paulo. For the magazine, the son of three times world champion Nelson Piquet spoke about the scandal involving his former boss at Renault, businessman Flavio Briatore. The duo were the center of the biggest scandal in the history of Formula 1 at the Grand Prix of Singapore in 2008, when the Brazilian driver deliberately crashed into a wall, following Briatore’s orders so that his former teammate, Fernando Alonso, would get ahead.
* "Briatore lost his job. He paid for what he did," said Nelsinho, who was cleared of all charges duo to his contributions in the investigations. The International Automobile Federation banned Briatore from category by the end of 2011.
* The pilot said he had no intention of going back to Formula 1 in the next few years and made criticisms of his former colleagues. Nelsinho also said that Felipe Massa is "going down the same path" as Rubens Barrichello, repeating the model of hope after Ayrton Senna. "Massa will be Alonso’s second pilot as long as he stays in Ferrari," he says. You must read the whole thing!
