Such a place is called Casa Villarino, in downtown Rio, and it saw the birth of the play "Orfeu da Conceição." It goes without saying that there was a lot of whiskey involved, right?
* For it’s in this atmosphere that actor Alexandre Borges, together with singers Mariana de Moraes, Vinicius’ daughter, and Sofia Victoria, and with Portuguese pianist João Vasco, will revisit Vinicius de Moraes’ work in the project Poema Bar, precisely at Casa Villarino. This week, they are going to perform at Vidigal favela, at the offices of Nos do Morro, and at Marilia Pera Theater, in Leblon. The tribute, in fact, is part of the celebrations of 98 years of Vinicius’s birth.
