On Thursday, Bernardo Carvalho opens the exhibition "Journeys", at Nara Roesler Gallery, in Jardim Europa. The photographer shows his view on densely populated urban centers like Tokyo and New York by clicking pedestrians apparently disconnected with the urban chaos, in images full of loneliness, escapism and reflection. As a counterpoint, he also exhibits photographs taken in remote places such as Syria and Yemen, filled with natural beauty, traditions and customs, but seldom visited by tourists. These images, he said, suggest a sense of humility, curiosity and introspection.

* One hundred percent of the sales of the photographs will go to Projeto Ancora, an organization dedicated to education, the arts, health and welfare of disadvantaged youth in Brazil. Well worth the visit!
