On Tuesday, Alexander McQueen’s will was read in London. According to British law, the document must be revealed to the public, since McQueen’s heirs will still have to pay taxes on the values they’ll receive, around US$ 26 million.
* Most of the fashion designer’s assets, however, will go to charity. His three sisters and two brothers it will each receive US$ 410 000. McQueen also left a small fortune for employees who took care of his house in London – US$ 82 000 for the maid and the same amount for the caretaker, the same value he left his nephews and nieces.
* McQueen also left more than US$ 650,000 to various NGOs related to the care of animals, a cause to which he was always involved.
