Judge by right, poet by conviction, Régis Bonvicino is packing his bags to leave to China for the first time. More specifically, to Hong Kong, as a special guest of the International Poetry Nights, organized by Chinese poet Bei Dao, taking place between November 9-13.
* Bonvicino is among the ten poets from the West who will meet with ten Eastern poets to talk about the art. The judge-poet takes the opportunity to do a lecture at the University of Macau. "In this moment of provincial hick-Brazilian art, an independent poet, with no ties to a university or government, it’s an honor to be invited," he says.
