In 2003, Rei Kawakubo was responsible for reinventing the pieces from Austrian designer Rudi Gernreich for Comme des Garcons. Now, the portal "WWD" announced that Rei closed a partnership and will redesign a bag created by Paco Rabanne in 1969.
* The creative team at Comme des Garçons has already been studying this idea a few months ago. Now, with new materials and special features, all previously chosen by Kawakubo, the bag will leave the paper. The model will be released within a few days, during the fashion season in Paris. For now, the model and the price are still a surprise. The piece will be sold in six stores of the Japanese brand and in some selected outlets.
