The new owners of Liberty just invested US$12 million in the store and hope to see an income until the end of this year. The new executive president of the English brand, Marco Capello, gave an interview to the website “WWD” saying he trusts the profits will increase soon and that he believes in the inheritance, in the brands name and in the current Liberty’s management.
* "In recent decades, the business and the industry have migrated to Europe, Middle East and Far East" he says. "Today, what makes Europe stronger, are the brands we have, the sales and the financial services. Liberty has two of these two resources. When we were interested in buying the store, our board members agreed immediately" said Marco, member of BlueGem and Liberty´s buyer.
