In a closed door hearing in Family Court in New York on Monday, Linda Evangelista presented the account of the monthly expenses related to the raising of her son, August, whose father is French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, owner of the PPR group and husband of actress Salma Hayek. According to the calculations of the supermodel’s lawyer, William Breslow, Linda needs at least US$ 46,000 a month to raise August in the same standards to which little Valentina Pinault Salma’s daughter, is accustomed to.
* In time, despite her young age, Valentina already has a estate estimated to be worth US$ 12 million. Pinault’s lawyers, of course, considered the sum too high. Which is true, as the amount requested by Linda is the largest ever recorded by New York’s Family Court. The US$ 46,000 monthly – or more than $ 550,000 a year – include US$ 80,000 of expenses with babysitters – Linda explained at the hearing she doesn’t want to be alone with her son.
