After the success of Prada’s summer 2011 runaway show, which paid homage to musical theater legend Josephine Baker, the brand decided to bet on pop culture accessories inspired by the singer. As of December 11, bracelets, pendants and earrings will be sold in stores in l’Avenue Montaigne in Paris, London and Milan. Miuccia Prada’s bet? The banana-shaped earrings she wore herself as she accepted applauses in Fashion Week. Will this trend catch?
