Elizabeth Taylor was really committed to the cause of AIDS. Besides leaving the exorbitant sum of US$ 600 million to two institutions dedicated to fighting the disease, the actress decided that her famous collection of jewelery – valued at US$ 150 million – should be auctioned. The proceeds will be donated to amfAR, the institution which she helped create in 1985. Inspiring!
