Oprah Winfrey may be the most powerful celebrity in the world, as noted Forbes magazine. But when the topic is about the ratings of the hostesses’ talk show, she resides a less glamorous position. Oprah, who in 24 years was the leader of the USA´s television segment, now can only stay in the second position, losing to judge Judith Sheindlin, who hosts a court like television show there.
* Maybe the audience falling is one of the reasons for the hostesses’ announcement of retirement, planned for next year. Or maybe it is just the fact that she has already everything she ever wanted, including a fortune of US$ 2.4 Billion and her own channel on TV. Let’s face it, who was once queen for so long, will never lose its majesty.
