Emporio Armani, Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, Versace, Marni, Missoni, Salvatore Ferragamo, Emilio Pucci, Moschino Cheap & Chic, among others, showcased their winter 2011/12 collections at Milan Fashion Week. As you can imagine, glamurette, it was a very busy weekend if you happened to be in Milan. On Saturday, Roberto Cavalli bet on the safe side and chose traditional animal prints with a rocker vibe. Then Moschino Cheap & Chic showed its trademark sense of humor and even paid tribute to four cities: Milan, London, Paris and New York.
* Jil Sander also stood out from the crowd with its incredible minimalism and large shapes and structures. Emilio Pucci was also great with a very feminine collection full of prints, which Brazilian top models Isabeli Fontana, Izabel Goulart and Alessandra Ambrosio gracefully wore on the catwalk.
* On Sunday, Missoni bet heavily on maxi – maxi coats, dresses and cardigans. According to Angela Missoni, the collection was inspired by "fairy tales creatures." Dolce & Gabbana came up with very sexy looks, mixing male and female elements. Oh, and check it out: Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana had screens that displayed the audience’s texts messages commenting the show.
* In the front rows, Anna Wintour, Stefano Tonchi, Anna Dello Russo Giovanna Battaglia went to check out Dolce & Gabbana’s show. Scott Schuman, Garance Doré, Margherita Missoni and Eugenie Niarcho, on the other hand, went backstage and then to the front row of Missoni. Unfortunately Milan Fashion Week ends this Monday with collections of Just Cavalli, Giorgio Armani and Dsquared2.
