Born in Poole, England, but based in Mexico City, Melanie Smith is one of those artists who travel the world exhibiting her art. She has presented her work at MoMA, the Tate, and now arrives in Brazil for their first single exhibit here.
* The artist was scheduled for the next Mercosul Biennial, held in Porto Alegre in early September. And to make things right for the opening, she is coming to Sao Paulo on August 15 to meet and begin to assemble the expose. Gallery owner Daniel Roesler is who is welcoming Melanie and he’s already setting up a special dinner for the artist. We can expect very good things!
