Paulo Coelho, a true devotee of St. Joseph, has celebrated the saint’s day every year since 1986, on March 19,. Each year, Paul chooses a place in the world to celebrate this important day, and in 2011, he chose the Hotel Pera Palas in Istanbul. The place is famous for having already hosted Agatha Christie, Alfred Hitchcock, Jacqueline Onassis, Ernest Hemingway, among many other icons. The celebration will be a dinner in the historic ballroom of the hotel for about 100 people. Five lucky readers of Paulo’s blog won an invitation.

After 25 years of celebrating, the question is: Did Paulo make a promise to St. Joseph and is still paying for a grace received?
