Interpreting Marilyn Monroe on the movies is certainly not an easy job, but this is gonna be Angelina Jolie’s next challenge. Yes, it has just has been announced that she will live the bombshell in the big screen, based on an adaptation of the book “The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe”, from Andrew O’Hagan. And there is more: George Clooney will make an appearance as Frank Sinatra, the singer, and a friend of Marilyn.
* The news was confirmed by Andrew himself, at Edinburgh Book Festival, this Sunday. He said that before the made deal with Angelina, two other actresses were contemplated: Scarlett Johansson and Christina Hendricks. The story talks about the last two years of the actress’ life under perspective of Maf, the dog that Sinatra gave to Marilyn in 1960. Ain’t it Curious?
