After facing three months of silence, Senator Demóstenes Torres did, on Tuesday in Brasilia, his defense to the Ethics Board, which will decide on his impeachment. For five hours, the senator explained that he’s just friends with Carlos Cachoeira and that he wasn’t aware of the entrepreneur’s illegal businesses.
Meanwhile, the movie buff Demóstenes keeps on posting recs of classic movies on his blog. Among them, with the right to reviews and curiosities, Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas”, with Robert De Niro, “All the President’s Men” with Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman and “The Shawshank Redemption” with Morgan Freeman.
