French lawyer Stephane Zerbib will defend John Galliano in the proceedings in which he’s being accused of being anti-Semite, among other things. The two have met and worked together for over seven years, and in recent days Zerbib gave several interviews to French newspapers in which he states that the incident between a couple and Galliano at Café de la Perle was merely an unfortunate “misunderstanding.”
* Zerbib, who is Jewish, also revealed he is receiving anonymous calls from people threatening him because of his connection with the former creative director of Dior. "People prejudge. Anyone can walk into a bar, drink too much and create a scandal," he said in a conversation with Le Figaro. Really?
