This week, Colin Scott, Chivas’ master blender, landed in Brazil on a special mission: to launch the most luxurious scotch whiskey of the renowned Royal Salute. Called 62 Gun Salute in honor of the 62 shots fired to celebrate the birthday of the Queen of England, Elizabeth II, the drink is made by blending selected generations of the Royal Salute whiskey.

* Just to give you an idea, the youngest in the bottle is forty years old. And speaking of the bottle, it deserves special attention. After all, it takes 40 hours to make each one. The reason? "In addition to having glass walls for better viewing of whiskey, each bottle is hand-painted with liquid gold 24 carats and has a crystal stopper dipped in gold," said Colin in the tasting for guests at Fasano Hotel, in São Paulo, on Friday evening.
