It wasn’t just a concert, but also a heck of a birthday party to Mayer Hawthorne, who performed on Thursday at Cine Joia, in Sao Paulo. If you’re not familiar with his work, Mayer is one of the coolest artists of a generation that mixes soul and pop. This is his second stint in Brazil. He was in the country in 2011 to open for Amy Winehouse.
