Away from the international catwalks, top model Michelle Alves, mother of one year old Mia, is back to work. Her comeback couldn’t be greater: at Paris Haute Couture Week, at Christian Dior’s show. Glamurama has found out that until this Monday the model wasn’t part of the fashion show, but John Galliano bumped in to her on the street; “We ran in to each other and he said that I looked beautiful and wanted me on his show”, she said on the phone.
* The fittings happened this Sunday when Michelle had a little trouble with one of the looks, a dress weighting around 33 pounds. She had to wear a plastic accessory on her head while trying the outfit and all the weight together plus Galliano’s extravagancies made the top model faint. Luckily she woke up right after. “I was the oldest of the casting. I was shocked to see so many new faces but happy to realize this new generation is hardworking and professional”, she said.
* After the fashion show Michelle was the only at the photo shoot with Patrick Demarchelier for the – still secret – book, Dior is about to launch.
