Brazil’s Embraer, the third largest aircraft manufacturer in the world, after Boeing and Airbus, has just opened an international unit in Jacksonville, Florida, specifically for the assembly of the combat model A-29 Super Tucano, used by six air forces around the world.
* Embraer, incidentally, had a record sales growth in 2011, in addition to being among the most valued on the stock markets. Rio Grande do Sul’s billionaire Julio Bozano, the company’s largest individual shareholder, should be as happy as can be.
