If the security changes announced by Facebook a few months ago caused unprecedented controversy, imagine what would happened if Google, a much bigger company, decided to do the same? It is exactly what’s about to happen, according to Wall Street Journal. The newspaper said it started during a meeting between the site’s founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, with some executives.

* In the agenda was Google’s privacy options and the meeting ended in an ugly row between the parts involved. In the end, the corporate wing won, and, among other things, it was decided that very soon, the largest search website in the world will watch closely its users, with the use of tracking the visited sites and more targeting practices.
