Artist Rodolpho Parigi went on a six-day trailer trip with fellow artist Rose Klabin through the U.S.A.: from a forest to Miami, a shopper’s paradise. The results of this trip were the works exhibited, on Friday, an underground gallery in Brooklyn, New York.

* It was Rodolpho’s first show in the United States, since he had been represented in fairs by Nara Roesler Gallery. Parigi’s been surprising the metier of art, familiar with his colorful and geometric pieces. Now, he has invested in physiognomy, inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci, and his colors turned to magenta and red. "Suddenly, I noticed that that colorful world wasn’t me anymore, that I wasn’t being true to myself. Red has this thing of blood, life and death," he said.

* The changes, however, did not affect his price index. Parigi, who has had a work sold for R$ 50,000, is still hot in the market. The pieces exhibited there until Oct. 20, are on sale. Prices? Raging from US$ 3 000 to US$ 13 000.
