A drink has been winning glamurettes over lately: the sangria. At Lorena 1989 restaurant, cool people such as Paola de Orleans e Bragança, Dani Cury, siblings Raphael e Deborah Falci and Fernanda de Goeye have already embraced the drink. "Our secret is to use light wine, lots of ice and organic fruit, leaving a very pleasant outcome," says Karina Mota, owner of the bar. Lorena 1989 serves two types of sangria, white wine with green and citrus fruit and red wine with red fruit. "I find it amazing, and refreshing. I order it all the time," said Fernanda de Goeye.
* Brown Sugar, on the other hand, serves three types of sangria, created by bartender Toninho: Rosé, with strawberry, blackberry, grape ruby, apple, tangerine, clove, Grand Marnier and rose wine; Red Sugar, with green apple, strawberry, Sicilian lemon, orange, ginger, Parfait d’Amour and red wine; and Sugar Yellow, with orange, pear, star fruit, apple, rosemary, white wine and Peach Tree. Who loves them? Monique Alfradique and, of course, partner Rico Mansur.
