Mangueira’s hill is making us proud overseas. We can explain: the documentary “O Samba que Mora em Mim,” by Georgia Guerra-Peixe, just won the prize "Al Jazeera Documentary Award" at the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival, a.k.a Vlaff, which began on September 1 and ends on Sunday. For those who haven’t seen it yet, Georgia’s film shows the pre-Carnaval time on the hill, everything with a lot of poetry and bossa. Glamurama has seen it and recommends it!
