Banksy has barely made it to Los Angeles, and he is already making the rounds. The graffiti artist of unknown identity has been in the city since early last week and “banksy-style” works have started to pop up around town. Among them, a panel that has Minnie Mouse staring at Mickey, who’s standing with a drink in one hand while he holds the billboard’s model with the other. The piece was done on an ad and it has already received offers of up to US$ 10,000, but police seized the creation.
* In another panel, Banksy portrays a child holding a gun that fires crayons instead of bullets. Many people have visited the sites where the graffiti were made. The artist is known for criticism of society and his work is already internationally recognized and valued. "Exit to the Gift Shop," a documentary co-produced by him, is nominated for an Oscar.
