On Wednesday, the star at the opening of the Faena Art Center in Buenos Aires was the mega installation by carioca artist Ernesto Neto, “O Bicho Suspenso na Paisagem” ("Bug Suspended in the Landscape”). It is a huge tangle of crochet fabric hanging from the ceiling of the main hall of the center, with 140 000 plastic balls at its base. The coolest thing? People can go up and walk into the work, seeing everything from up there.

* "It was like walking on caviar," director Bruno Barreto told Glamurama, after entered the installation together with his wife, Lisa Graham, referring to the balls on which people walk. "I’ll have a few shots before going up there to magnify the effects," said Argentinean singer Deborah de Corral, who calling the work "very psychedelic."

* The Argentine film producer Eduardo Costantini Jr., son of businessman and collector Eduardo Costantini, found the work very "shocking". "Ernesto is one of my favorite artists, very relevant on the international scene." The Brazilian artist saw a Marinne Faithfull concert, who sang accompanied by Marc Ribot on guitar, the top of his installation – the stage was located below the center the work.

* Alan Faena, founder of the center, was super happy. "It’s great to contribute to the culture of Buenos Aires," he said. Faena Art Center, which occupies the building of an early 20th century mill, has two exhibition halls: the Cathedral, where the installation is, and the Molinos, where there have been screening of videos showing the construction and assembly of the center – both rooms are 630 square meters – the first is 10 m high, and second, 3.60 m.
