Elton John chose "Us Weekly" to present the baby that he adopted with David Furnish to the Americans. So far so good. The problem is that the cover photo of the magazine, in which the singer poses for a family picture next to his companion and their heir, is causing a lot of controversy in the land of Uncle Sam.
* It all started when Harps Food Stores placed “family shields” over the copies of the magazine on the shelves. The goal, according to company executives, is “To protect young Harps shoppers." The attitude caused the supermarket chain to be under fire by human rights groups. After all, what do they think they’re protecting people from?
