His name is Bond, James Bond and, in 2012, the most charming spy in the world will return to the big screen. After a lot of buzz, MGM has confirmed the production of the franchise’s 23rd movie. Daniel Craig, no surprise there, will reprise his role as Bond.
* Until now the movie had been put on hold due to MGM’s financial problems. The company even declared bankruptcy in late 2010. With the project underway, shootings should take six months and begin in late 2011. Sam Mendes, of “American Beauty” is set to direct the script written by John Logan, of “Gladiator” and “The Last Samurai.”
