After the beautiful blue sky we’ve been having in Rio this Friday, there’s nothing like checking out the outdoors performance of a classic, under the stars… Inspired by the project “Shakespeare in the Park” that takes place every year in Central Park, Shakesparque, debuts at Lage Park, and it’s free.
* A group of actors will perform scenes of classics such as Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth and The Taming of the Shrew – translated by Barbara Heliodora – by the pool. These scenes will be interspersed with sonnets sung in MPB and 80s rock style. You can’t miss out, glamurette! Numbers will be distributed 7 p.m.
