Rodeo Drive, the famous shopping boulevard in Los Angeles, stood still on Thursday evening. All on account of the opening of Tom Ford’s first boutique in town. Stars like Eva Longoria, Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks, Elizabeth Banks, Colin Firth, Ginnifer Goodwin, Tina and Eva Chow, the supermodel Karen Elson – in a stunning ombre fringed number from the designer’s newest collection – all came to see the two story store. Downstairs is menswear and a mirrored staircase that grants access to the lounge where with womenswear, jewelry and accessories.
* Not even her nine-month pregnant belly prevented Rachel Zoe to honor her friend: “I mean, everything Tom does is just flawless. Too bad I can’t wear any of it. My water could totally break right here,” quipped the stylist.
