The post-Oscar parties lose in popularity only to the ceremony itself, And no wonder, for they bring about almost as much buzz as well. The main parties this Sunday evening were Vanity Fair’s and Elton John’s usual bash, the AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. Not a very catchy name, don’t you agree?
* At Vanity Fair’s party, Madonna made an impression with a very see-through outfit, by Loree Rodkin, and Lourdes Maria wore a minidress of All Saints. Cameron Diaz also chose a metallic minidress, combined with heavier Jimmy Choo shoes. She too was at VF, as was Gwyneth Paltrow, wearing the same Michael Kors in which she sang on stage at the Academy Awards. Lea Michele, the newest America Sweetheart because of her role in Glee, wore a glittery long gown by Roberto Cavalli. Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer also made an appearance. Anna chose a red Monique Lhuillier dress and Brian Atwood heels.
* At Elton’s party, another couple drew attention: Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy. Claire looked amazing in a white dress designed by Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein Collection. Heidi Klum came together with Seal, but took a picture alongside Emma Roberts, niece of Julia Roberts, who incidentally, didn’t show up.
