This weekend all eyes turned to Barack Obama and his family. Voted the most stylish first lady since Jackie Kennedy, Michelle Obama made the right choices in the looks she wore here, probably the work of Meredith Koop, stylist who has been advising the first lady ever since Ikram Goldman stepped down last December.
* Since arriving in a kind of ethnic coral and black dress and blue sneakers, Michelle displayed lightness and coolness. She wore a blazer on her first meeting with president Dilma, but soon after, in a performance of capoeira group Roots of Brazil, showed off the one-shouldered dress that was underneath it. One of Glamurama’s favorite looks was the lignt embroidered dress she wore on her visit to the Presidential Palace, probably a model Naeem Khan, an Indian designer and one of her favorites.
* In Rio de Janeiro, yellow, blue and green were dominant in her happier looks, but the lower temperatures at night asked for navy blue trousers black silk trench, during the visit to Christ the Redeemer. The question on everyone’s minds: who were the designers behind Michelle Obama’s outfits in Brazil? Glamurama’ll keep an eye out to unravel the mystery!
