If you know Miami then you know that Bal Harbour Mall is one of the hottest malls in the city. Even so, Louis Vuitton is closing up his store there to open a place twice as big at Aventura Mall, in late May. In addition, the city will also get another street shop of the fashion house in Miami Design District, in 2012 if all goes as planned.
* Yves Carcelle, chief executive of Louis Vuitton, told "WWD" that this expansion is due to the high volume of purchase and search for new things that have been increasing in Miami in recent years. The same goes for Dubai and UAE.
* "This region has an appetite for luxury consumption and the structure that stores offer often aren’t compatible with what customers expect," said Valerie Chapoulaud-Floquet, president and chief executive of LV in Europe and in the Middle East at the inauguration of a new store, three times larger than all located in Dubai, with room for exclusive collections of ready-to-wear and accessories. Around here, in Brazil, two new Louis Vuitton stores are coming until next year. One in Sao Paulo and another in Rio de Janeiro.
