The Sunset stage at Rock in Rio will hold an unusual – and exciting – meeting. Mike Patton, former Faith No More frontman and current singer of Mondo Cane, will perform with Orchestra Heliopolis, formed by disadvantaged youth in the community from São Paulo.
* To bring together the two attractions, Zé Ricardo, the stage organizer, sent an email to Patton with information about the orchestra and a video of a presentation of the boys. The American singer was thrilled with the project – and agreed on the spot. He intends to come to São Paulo to get to know first hand this work of philanthropic musicianship. We’ll be watching!
