Christiane Jatahy is one of the most creative and talented theater directors of this new generation of directors in Rio, so the announcement of her new play is always good news. For this Friday is the opening of "Julia," Christiane’s new venture, at the mezzanine of Espaço SESC in Copacabana.
* It’s an adaptation of the classic "Miss Julia," by the Swedish playwright August Strindberg, and performed by actors Julia Bernat and Rodrigo Santos. On stage, there’s a blend of movie and theater in a great game, as the cameraman David Pacheco becomes a scenic element, filming everything that goes on, with the images being projected on a screen, with instructions to boot, such as "Cut!" and "Recording." Go see it to understand it better.
