With his artwork sold all over the world for millions of dollars, Andy Warhol is more popular than ever. A proof of that is the portrait of Elizabeth Taylor he made in 1963, recently sold in London for US$ 9.9 million. The bid was made by an anonymous buyer and, as amazing as it seems, the sell was actually seen as bargain.
* ”Silver Liz, has been out of the public eye for 20 years, so its mystique helped it pull in a whopping $16 Million at auction in 2007. The artwork was expected to rake in a bit more at this auction”, one of the organizers said. Still, it is not so cheap, is it?
